Cloetta launches new series of Fairtrade-labelled chocolate bars

Cloetta launches Cloetta good – a whole new chocolate bar!
Cloetta good has been launched as a chocolate bar in four taste varieties and is made from certified Fairtrade chocolate. Good flavour – for a good cause.

The chocolate bars are certified by Fairtrade, which is aimed at promoting improved working and living conditions for small-scale producers and agricultural workers in developing countries. Cloetta good has been launched in four taste varieties; milk chocolate, mint crisp, hazelnut and cashew with cranberries.

”Cloetta’s delicious combinations – chocolate and wafers, chocolate and toffee, chocolate and nuts – have now been joined by chocolate and Fairtrade,” says Cloetta’s CEO Curt Petri. “Our introduction of Fairtrade-labelled chocolate is an expression of our desire to combine good flavour with a good cause,” adds Curt Petri.

“The introduction has been preceded by extensive taste testing by different panels where Cloetta good has been given excellent ratings and seen as an exciting and interesting product, which gives us confidence in the launch,” says Curt Petri.

”With Cloetta good we want to speak to all five senses,” says Karin Ljungmark-Malmström, Marketing Director at Cloetta. “Cloetta good has a discrete and appealing chocolate aroma and an interesting design. The chocolate flavour is pronounced and distinctive, and the fact that it is certified by Fairtrade is something we hope consumers will appreciate. In addition, we have created a short theme melody that also makes it possible to experience Cloetta good by listening to it.”

”As a new and independent company, Cloetta has entered an offensive period with a number of product innovations,” continues Curt Petri. ”Last autumn we relaunched the Tarragona chocolate bar in three taste varieties and just over a week ago it was announced that Cloetta is one of 17 companies approved by the Royal Court of Sweden as a purveyor to The Official Wedding Series, for which Cloetta has developed six new chocolate products. Cloetta good complements this focus on chocolate – at the moment there is a lot happening at Cloetta!”

Cloetta has a number of strong and very well known brands that over the years have earned a place among the Swedish people’s favourites, such as Kexchoklad, Center and Plopp.
