Risks and risk management

Cloetta works continuously to assess and evaluate the risks which the Group is, and may be, exposed to. These risks are divided into sector and market-related risks and business- related risks, which are handled by the operating units, and financial risks, which are managed by the finance function.

Sector and market-related risks include the risks Cloetta is exposed to on a highly competitive confectionary market, the consolidation in food retailing and exposure to key customers, the exposure to raw material prices and access to certain raw material as well as the impact of the economy.

The business-related risk factors include risks related to the merger with LEAF, relocation of production, implementation of information and IT systems, health trends and environmental, health and safety risks.
Financial risks are managed by the finance function according to guidelines adopted by the Cloetta Board. The financial risks primarily consist of currency, financing, interest and credit risks.

The risks which Cloetta is, or may be exposed to are described in the right issues prospectus, read more here (extract from the prospectus will open in separate window).
