About the Company

  • Cloetta is the Nordic region’s oldest chocolate manufacturer, dating back to 1862 when the three Cloetta brothers from Switzerland founded their company in Copenhagen.
  • Cloetta’s best known brands are Kexchoklad, Center, Plopp, Polly, Tarragona, Guldnougat, Bridge, Juleskum, Sportlunch, Utvalda Favoriter, Mums Mums and Extra Starka.
  • Cloetta has two production units, one in Ljungsbro and one in Alingsås. During the period from 1 September 2008 to 31 August 2009, Cloetta produced a total of 20,000 tonnes of confectionery.
  • Cloetta’s class B share was listed on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm since 16 February 2009.
  • The average number of employees is around 450.
  • For the period from 1 September 2008 to 31 August 2009, Cloetta’s pro forma net sales were approximately SEK 1184 million.
